Welcome to your English class! I hope that each of you are successful this year and develop better reading comprehension and writing skills that will carry you into the future. About Mrs. Florence: This is my 25th year teaching. My teaching experience ranges from elementary to college level. I am a founding teacher at Greenbrier High School. I earned a Master of Education in Secondary English and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. For three classes a day, I Co-Teach with Mrs. McKinney. She and I coordinate the students’ workload so that they can achieve success. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach high school English and look forward to helping each student reach their ultimate potential. ( Florence:X-5844) & (McKinney: X 4186) My daily schedule is as follows: 1st Period - 9th Grade Literature and Composition 2nd Period – 9th Grade Literature and Composition w/Mrs. McKinney 4th Period – 9th Grade Literature and Composition w/Mrs. McKinney 5th - 9th Grade Literature and Composition w/Mrs. McKinney 6th Period - 9th Grade Literature and Composition I am available before and after school until 3:15 to make up quizzes/tests/assignments.
