Welcome to your English class! I hope that each of you are successful this year and develop better reading comprehension and writing skills that will carry you into the future.

About Mrs. Dorn:
This is my 10th year teaching. I taught 7th grade for six years at Lakeside Middle,and this is my fourth year at Greenbrier High School. I grew up in Columbia County and graduated from Lakeside High School. I majored in Middle Grades Education at Augusta State, and I also earned my Master of Education in Leadership and Specialist in Education for Secondary English Education at ASU as well. I also have another Master of Education from Troy University. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach high school English. I have also had the opportunity to teach English at Augusta Technical College, so I feel that I have a very good perception of what is required of my students before, during, and after high school.

Another goal of mine is to prepare all of you for the senior project. The senior project will incorporate technical writing, research, and public speaking skills. These skills will be necessary no matter what you do after high school.

My daily schedule is as follows:
1st Period - 12th Grade British Literature
2nd and 3rd Period - 12th Grade British Literature with Mrs. Kutlik
4th Period - Planning and Lunch
5th and 6th Period - 9th Grade Literature and Composition
I am available after school until 3:15 to make up quizzes/tests/assignments.
